Atlanta, GA - The United Speed Contest Sanction, the parent company of the United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear and the USCS Modified Touring Series for open wheel modified race cars has announced a new racing series for 600cc winged micro sprints. The new USCS series will be known as the USCS 600 Sprint Car Series.
The USCS 600 Sprint Car Series will sanction several stand alone micro sprint events during its' inaugural season in 2011, but, will mostly compete side by side on the racing card with the United Sprint Car Series. The division will also sometimes be accompanied by the USCS Modifieds. Over forty races in eight states have been announced on the 2011 schedule.
The USCS 600 Sprint Car Series will offer a National Championship schedule that includes all events. Additionally the new 600cc sanction will also offer races and Championships in two regional series as well. Those regions will be divided and identified just as the USCS Mid South Thunder and Southern Thunder regions are for the United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear.
The USCS 600 Sprint Car Series Mid South region will include races primarily in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and West Tennessee. The USCS 600 Sprint Car Series Southern region for winged 600cc sprints will include races primarily in Eastern Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.
The inaugural USCS 600 Sprint Car Series races will be held on Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th a Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri as part of the 5th annual Bootheel 200. Each night will be a separate show and will pay $300 to win on Friday night and $500 to win on Saturday night.
Contingency awards in the form of products rewards from several companies have been arranged for the inaugural season and besides those already in place, there are more on the way. A cash and product contingency points fund will be paid to the top ten drivers in the National, Mid South and Southern regions at the series banquet after the end of the 2011 season.
